A lodge is a small building at the entrance of a park of reserve. The word lodge is mostly used to express an accommodation in a natural setting, from where you can watch wildlife. These lodges are also called game lodges or safari lodges. They need not always be simple, there are luxurious lodges too, designed to fit into the local natural setting. So called eco-lodges are also accommodations in a natural setting, but are designed in a way that a minimum of harm will be done to the environment.

Tented rooms are similar to lodges, but not in a fixed, yet comfortable accommodation, but in tents, to give the guest the closest encounter with the jungle or national parks and reserves with their wildlife.
